What a lovely story! The main characters are memorable with a relationship that warms the heart. Enter jealousy and excess desire to control. That mother was an evil woman. The story was well worth the read.
I debated between 4 and 5 stars. I rarely give 5 but this was on the high 4.5 for me so I gave it a five. I LOVED this book. I loved the characters. I loved it was fast and sexy (clean) and sweet. I wanted all the characters except the one your supposed to not like all end happily. I was just a feel good story.
Since the conflict of why she left him the day before the wedding wasn't revealed until the end, I spent most of the book worrying that the reason was going to make the whole book feel stupid. I was bracing myself to not be dissapointed, and even though the conflict was good, the price was my enjoyment of the story. This is a clean book, which is a must for me.
Romance, clean, mild faith elements, 3.5 stars, rounded up
This was a fun read, but still had some interesting twists and turns. I enjoyed the process of the construction, the work with their former teacher. Definitely more of a light read, the Mother was a bit of a caricature, but Carter and Peyton's attraction and past were fun reads. Loved seeing a bit from both of their perspectives, and how things had them fall back together again. The swing, the breakfasts, there were some cute moments for them as a couple. Thrown together, enemies, then friends then back to their HEA. Another fun read in this series.
Hearts on Fire Destination Billionaire Romance Book 10 is by Jennifer Youngblood and Sandra Poole. It is a cute book about a love triangle, a broken engagement, with a definite busybody Mother, and an old house.
Peyton Kelly did not want to go back to California; but with the death of her Mother and Step-father she had to go. She found she and her step-sister were given the house to share. She was willing to pay her sister for her portion of the house; but her step-sister had already sold her portion to Carter, Peyton’s ex-fiancé. How was she to work with him?
Peyton had broken her engagement to Carter but didn’t tell him why. She didn’t want to relive the conversation she had overheard. However, Carter wanted to know what happened.
There are enough twists to keep the novel interesting.
Peyton and Carter sizzle! With a capital S! Loved the fighting, loved the making up! Pretty much loved everything about this romance! Don't miss it!
I'm a big fan of these authors and this book might just be my favorite! Loved the conflict, the romance, the dreamy billionaire. Ahh. Definitely a must read.
